Graphic Design for Print Projects
Having worked as a graphic designer for print for over ten years, I've covered a wide variety of clients, big and small, local and international. Click the boxes below to view details of a few of my print design projects.
Canvas Holidays Brochures
I've produced a number of douments for this Dunfermline based company via
21 Colour. I've artworked all kinds items from promotional materials to
application forms to corporate design specifications in multiple languages.
Get Fit Scotland Posters
This Stirling based company is the brainchild of Andrew
Hodgson, personal trainer, health, fitness and nuitrition adviser.
Needing promotional materials on a budget, I designed these posters
to a format he could print himself as and when needed.
Graduate Magazine Spread
This photoshop composite was designed as a magazine spread introducing an
article about the internet.
Hot and Spicy menu
The traditional Scots curry house has moved on quite a bit in the past few
years and I designed this menu for my local carry out to reflect that. No
picures of the Taj Mahal, Koh i Noor or any other cliches. Two colour print
for budget.
Jurys Cocktail Menu
Just because it has a shelf life of one night, is going to end up an a bin
and covered in beer stains, doesn't mean it can't look good. This Cocktail
menu only had a print run of 50 and was almost just a laser printed word
document.
Design OohLaLa postcard
Simple postcard advertising for the website I designed and built for Design
OohLaLa premium packaged gifts for women, further details may be found in
my web design section.
Scottish water Posters
These posters were a spec job while I was at Can Design (now closed) to promote
the proper disposal of sanitary products in womens bathrooms. I took photos
and incorporated 3D models to make cartoonish the idea of toilet missuse.
Sheraton Breakfast Pricelist
A simple pricelist, again an otherwise 'invisible' and almost dispensible item,
treated with as much care and attention to corporate guidelines as any brochure,
annual report or advertising.
Sheraton Stationery
While not inpiring on the design front, my ability to produce hundreds of pieces
of stationery for one of the countries most renound hotel groups is something
I think not unnoteworthy.
Sheraton Voucher
A simple discount voucher but with care and attention paid to include the new
corporate guidelines into even the most inconsequential (if there is such a
thing) of inhouse stationery.
Skillmap: Visual
Sometimes the jobs you like the most are the ones which are never produced. These
are visual treatments for a company who required a new identity, these covers
showing a practial usage of that ID.
VIP Advertising
VIP is one of the salons currently decorating Baker Street here in Stirling.
I created this advert for inclusion in Scottish 'gossip' magazine No.1 based
on the clients assertiion that she wanted visitors to 'Feel like a Princess
for the day'.
Stirling Health Week Posters
The idea behind this week of promotional activites was to get men to think
about how better to consider their fitness and health and how to improve
upon their current lifestyle.
Wedding Invites Online Promotional Materials
As well as their website, I've produced a numper of promotional materials,
including display stands, based on and using the designs for their range
of cards as produced by their in house team.
Albion Corporate Identity
Starting with their website I've designed serveral projects for Visionary Enterprises, including a series of identities and business stationery. Each two colour logo adopts the scottish saltire into its form giving a unity between each company.
